Ferrybot: A Conversational AI Agent for Wellbeing

Hi, there!

I'm Wanshu Yu, a PhD student majoring in HCI at the University of Glasgow, supervised by Dr. Stephen Lindsay, Dr. Xianghua (Sharon) Ding, and Dr. Mary Ellen Foster. Our project aims to design a conversational intelligent agent, which acts as a mediator in peer support groups to alleviate the workload on PSOs and promote higher quality engagements and personalized interaction. Ferrybot is the initial prototype of our work to demonstrate the potential of integrating chatbots into the peer support framework, and we believe it could revolutionize the field. We hope you enjoy the interaction with it in the all scenarios.

We are eager to partner with real-world peer support organizations to further develop this smart chatbot by a participatory design approach, delving into its practical applications. If you find our project intriguing and wish to explore this pioneering journey with us, please leave your information and comments below or contact us directly! We are excited about the possibility of collaborating with you and eagerly anticipate your response!
